The La Guardia Aquatic Club TWISTERS welcome YOU to our world of swimming.  Where, each day, the vortex of HARD WORK…SWEET VICTORY guides our decision-making and pulls us closer to each other, and every goal we hope to achieve.

Our ambitious model of training, competition and character building attracts swimmers of all cultures from the NY Metropolitan Region.  We welcome every motivated swimmer to join our enthusiastic, family-friendly swim team.

Our dedicated coaches, in pursuit of speed, reel out all the instruction and support a swimmer needs… to grow from novice to elite.

TWISTERS IMPROVING AT SECTIONALS: GIRLS FINISH IN 8TH PLACE AND LOWER 4 TEAM RECORDS BY VANESSA CHONG (14) IN 100 BACK: 1:06.37, FORMER RECORD BY CATHY FAN 1:06.61 FROM LAST YEAR, THEN IN 100 AND 200 FLY HER OWN IN 1:02.76 AND 2:19.00. AND BY CATHY FAN (15) IN 200 IM WITH A 2:28.08, A 4 SECONDS DROP THIS SEASON, PREVIOUS MARK BY JOYCE KWOK SINCE 2012. THE LAST RECORD CAME IN THE 15-18 400 MEDLEY RELAY OF EMILY RODRIGUEZ, CATHY FAN, LARA YOUSSEF AND CRYSTAL ZHANG SLASHING ABOUT 10 SECONDS WITH A TIME OF 4:32.83. ON THE BOYS SIDE ANDY LEE (16) SHAVED 2 TENTHS OF THE PREVIOUS RECORD WITH A 59.78 TO LOWER EVAN ZHANG'S MARK FROM LAST YEAR.

TWISTERS FINISHED 9TH AT THIS YEAR METRO JO WITH VERY GOOD PERFORMANCE BY 10 AND UNDER IN 6TH PLACE OVERALL. SWIMMERS SCORING: 10-U HAILEY AHN, AZANA KARIM,  OWEN MIAO, TENZIN PANAMSERKHANG, AVA PUSING AND TENZIN QUINCY; 11-12: ALLYSE ALEXANDER, ZACHARIA BOUZAROUATA, KIERAN EGAN, NASIR HUSSAIN, JULIA KOWALCZYK AND ETHAN MIAO; 13-14: RYAN CUI, KEVIN ZAHARIEV AND RYAN ZHANG. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL

TWISTERS RETURN WITH CONFIDENCE FROM THE 2017 METS WHERE ALL SWAM AT LEAST ONE PERSONAL BEST. AMONG THOSE WHERE TEAM RECORDS IN 200/400 AND 1500 FREE GIRLS 13-14 AND OPEN BY ORLA EGAN (14), 100 FREE, 200 BACK AND 200 IM BY ANDY LEE (16) AND THE GIRLS OPEN 800 FREE RELAY.
 
EXPRESS MEET:
TWO MORE TEAM RECORDS DOWNED IN PREPARATION FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON: VANESSA CHONG (14) LOWER HER 100 FLY TIME WITH A FAST 1:03.52 AND ANDY LEE (16), SHAVED 0.03 SEC IN 100 FREE OF HIS 15-18 AND OPEN RECORDS WITH A 54.00 SWIM.

AFTER 2 FULL DAYS OF FAST RACING OUR SWIMMERS AMASSED 4730 POINTS TO WIN THE 2017 REDTAILS INTERNATIONAL BY A LANDSLIDE. ON INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS:
